Inulin

A substance similar to fibre. It provides food for bacteria in the intestines, supporting their proper functioning. It protects the balance between “good” and “bad” bacteria in the intestines.

Deficiency

Deficiency can occur when consuming only small amounts of products containing inulin (onions, garlic, asparagus, bananas, chicory).

Objawy:

  • No immediate symptoms of deficiency determined.
Excess

The excess of inulin is most often the result of hyper-supplementation of this substance.

Objawy:

  • Constipation
  • Nausea
  • Abdominal pain
  • Diarrhoea
  • Vomiting
